SimonUnwin在解析建筑里谈到 建筑的两个原型---神殿与农舍, 一个对应人力、抽象、形式、永恒;一个对应自然、具象、功能、演变----为建筑的设计源头。如果任何建筑都是纯粹或绝大部分不那么纯粹的两种原型的变体,那么他们的直接结合又会是呈现何种可能呢?


画家住宅提供了两个原型的关系的思考—独立的画室视为“神殿”,起居、餐厨、卧室视为“农舍”。“神殿”漂浮地面、抽象钢构;“农舍”无障碍进入,坡屋顶斜面在立面与楼梯间的多维度引用等等,他们彼此鲜明的显现,又相互結合为一体。并在主入口上方孕育出两者的共生物。画家在这样一个相生环境里,在生活中创作,在创作中生活。



Simon Unwin claimed in his Analysis Architecture that there were two original models for all buildings—temple and cottage. One response to manpower, abstract, form, and timeless, while the other nature, concrete, function and evolution. If any architecture can been classified into these two models more or less, then what would be come out if combining the two models in one single building?


The artist house test the relationships between the two --- the individual studio regarded as “the temple” floating the ground with abstract steel structure while the living units regarded as “the cottage” with slope entrance, the free degree walls and roof within the structure. They temple is independent but embraced by the cottage,while the glass box above the main entrance can be thought as the new birth from the two. Thus, the masterpiece should and could be created in a common life.
