It suggests that by focusing on the urban space, the kind of physical environment, the underlying reasons for restricting the further development in central Luohu might be clarified. If this is the case, how could we adjust the spatial structure and use it as a physical medium to boost efficient growth and sustainable development in city center?
The study shows that first, it is not optimistic when all those small scale well-defined places, such as city villages and residences, to integrated into a bigger identified one as a whole, and secondly the poor interrelation between part and whole may contributes to the spatial reason blocking the growth of Center’s attraction.
The suggestion is providing a ring road which based on the existing network to link the main scattered but mature parts. The method includes the setting up the ring shuttle buses, interchanges between different traffic tools in key places, and the rearrangement of traffic lanes and sidewalks. On one hand, it tries to minimize the influence on the existing local flow and the character; on the other hand to respond the spatial demand by the integration of the growth. Overall, it comes out a central link inside the area which be convenient, reliable, low-consume, and comfortable.
